Cankerworms
What are they?
Primitive members of the Geometridae, cankerworms are often considered pests as the larvae often feed on the leaves of crop trees and can cause localized serious damage.
Identification
Males can be identified by their wing markings; the females are wingless and seldom seen unless specifically looked for.
